Rental Terms And Agreement

“Company” is Monix Studio, “Premises” includes the studio and any adjacent property owned by Monix Studio, “Renter” is the person or entity renting the premises or equipment.

Rates

Rental Rates are set by the most current version of the rental rate sheet in effect at the time of signing.

Payments & Deposits

All rental fees must be paid at the start of your booking. 50% deposit required at time of booking. Remaining balance will be billed after rental period is complete. A credit card is required to be kept on file by SquareUp.  Fees for additional equipment rented and/or time that was not billed during the initial booking will be charged along with the remaining balance. 

Credit Card Authorization I Authorize Monix Studio to charge using SquareUp, the Credit Card used in the booking process, the amount indicated on the application, plus any expendables, damage expenses, cancelation fees or rebooking fees occurring during rental period. I promise to pay such amount as noted above subject to and accordance with the agreement governing the use of such card. I acknowledge that this card will be kept on file by SqureUp.

Cancellations and Reschedules

Cancellations of confirmed bookings will result in the following:

Cancellations made within seven days of scheduled rental will result in a mandatory charge of 25% of full rental fee, using card information on file.

Cancellations made within three days of scheduled rental will result in a mandatory charge of 50% of full rental fee, using card information on file.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of scheduled rental will result in a mandatory charge of full rental fee, using card information on file.

If the company must cancel the renter’s reservation, the renter will be given, in company’s sole discretion, either rescheduling priority or full refund. Company is not liable for acts out of its control that affect the shoot, such as building equipment failures, power outages, weather or other emergencies.

Reschedules

If cancellation is made more than 48 hours prior to the booking date/time, cancellation fees may be waived by company, at company’s discretion, if the session is rebooked within five working days and the company studio calendar can accommodate the new shoot date and time. Once rebooked, the deposit then becomes non-refundable. There is no rescheduling fee with at least 48-hour notice. A rescheduling fee will apply if notice is less then 48-hours. Reschedule fee is 1/2 the deposit amount and will be added to final balance.

Length of Use

Rental periods are chosen at the time of booking. Renter’s rental time begins promptly at the prescribed starting time and ends promptly at the prescribed ending time. Rental time includes setup and tear down so please consider that while booking. Studio must be cleaned and vacated by the end of the rental period. No prior drop-off and/or pick-up after completion of shoot, of equipment, props, etc unless negotiated at time of rental contract. Any renter that goes 15 minutes past the original end time of their booking will be charged an additional rate of $40 per 15 minutes.

Cleaning and Trash

Renter agrees to leave premises and all contents in the same condition as they were when renter arrived. Company will dispose of trash collected in the supplied trash cans. Renter must discard larger items, such as props and set pieces, in the public trash bin outside the building. Disposal of large amounts of garbage due to large sets may also accrue additional cost. $100 cleaning fee may apply for excessively dirty studio, large groups or production crews exceeding 30 people. Please return any furniture to its original location. All lights must be turned off and air conditioning set to 79 degrees.

Studio Guidelines

  • No smoking whatsoever is allowed in the studio. Projects involved with smoke must have prior studio representatives consent. 

  • Music is to be kept at reasonable levels.

  • No one will be admitted who is under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances

  • No pets allowed without prior consent of a company representative

  • All small and/or hard to clean material (confetti, hair cutting, feathers, food products, body paint, etc.) require approval from company representative. Cleaning fee may apply.

  • Maximum number of People are allowed in the studio at one time: 40

  • Parking can accommodate up to 20 vehicles

Waiver of Liability

Use of company’s premises and equipment is at renter’s risk. Renter hereby agrees that company will not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damage, injury or loss to renter, his party or possessions while on the premises. All persons and activity on company’s premises may be video recorded for security usage.

Insurance

Renter must maintain $ 1,000,000 liability insurance at renter’s expense, and list Monix Studio as additional insured.

Renter will not hold Monix Studio accountable for lost, stolen, or damaged property

Renter assumes risk and responsibility for any injury, death, or property damage resulting from renter’s actions or renter’s clients and their guests actions.

Renter will assume all risk and responsibilities for any persons or items brought into this property.

Renter releases, indemnifies, and holds harmless Monix Studio, its agents, from and against all and any actions or claims which may be made by me or on my behalf or by other parties for or in respect of or arising out of any injury, loss, damage, or death caused to me or my property whether by negligence, breach of contract or any way whatsoever.

Conduct

We at Monix Studio maintain a clean and professional environment. Renter shall be solely responsible for the conduct and welfare of all persons accompanying renter while on company’s premises. Renter agrees that company representative will be present at all times. If the representative observes or otherwise becomes aware of dangerous, pornographic, illegal or negligent practices or activities, the representative reserves the right to stop the shoot and may require renter and renter’s party to leave immediately. In such case no refund will be given for unused time. However, company and its representatives assume no responsibility to act in such cases.

Equipment

Company agrees to provide equipment in good working order but makes no special guarantees as to suitability to the renter’s purposes. Renter shall notify company immediately of any malfunction, damage or other issues with the equipment.

Damage

Renter shall be solely responsible for any damage to company’s property or equipment that occurs during the time renter or his party occupies the premises. A $50 damage fee will be assessed for any and all spills, excessive wear, marks or stains on furniture or makeup station, and broken items or furniture. Renter agrees to pay any additional repair costs to bring damaged equipment back to working condition.
